Sandra first discovered yoga in Dubai in 2005, where she attended a power yoga class out of curiosity. It was a fun and intense experience that reminded her of her childhood recreational gymnastics sessions. She felt a desire to continue with her classes and soon she realized that yoga was much more than just an asana practice – it had a potential to help her find balance in her everyday life as well. Her cabin crew job at the time was extremely physically demanding, dynamic and stressful and yoga helped her not only to learn how to strengthen but also how to fully relax both body and mind. After years of studying and practicing various yoga styles, she became a certified Vinyasa Yoga instructor in 2013. Shortly after that she completed a 100-hour Hatha Yoga training, as well as an 80-hour Pre and Post Natal Yoga course with teachers from Canada and Great Britain.
Her first contact with pilates happened after she had suffered a minor injury; her doctor recommended strengthening specific muscle groups in order to promote healing. After just a few pilates classes she felt considerable improvement, which motivated her to continue. For the next several years she was constantly studying and practicing pilates repertoire. She finally decided to make pilates her career and became a certified Stott Pilates Mat Instructor in 2014, as well as a certified Stott Pilates Reformer Instructor in 2015. She took part in numerous anatomy and pilates related workshops and attendedStott Pilates instructor courses: Injuries and Special Populations, Total Barre and Zen~ga.
The idea to start her own studio was born as a result of her wish to create a space that would fit all contemporary practitioner’s needs and where she would be able to share her knowledge, passion and dedication with other yoga and pilates enthusiast, supported by a professional instructor team.
Sandra used to teach yoga and pilates in Dubai. She currently manages Flo studio in Belgrade, where she also teaches pilates.
